Appraisal services include reports for insurance coverage, damage and loss claims, charitable or cultural property donation, estate planning and division of assets, determination of probate fees or capital gains tax, bankruptcy and divorce or partnership dissolution. Clients include private collectors, insurance companies, corporations, financial institutions, government, public galleries, museums and archives, registered charities and law firms.

Founded in 1981 and solely owned by Kathryn Minard, Contemporary Fine Art Services provides advisory services to corporate and private collectors for the acquisition or dispersal of art collections and representation in purchase and sales transactions.
