Curator Asset Management Inc.

Founded in 2006 by Kathryn Minard and Waddington, McLean and Company, Curator Asset Management provides specialized services in appraisal, research and collection management. Appraisal services include reports for insurance coverage, damage and loss claims, charitable or cultural property donation, estate planning and division of assets, determination of probate fees or capital gains tax, bankruptcy and divorce or partnership dissolution. All reports are prepared in conformity with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Paractice (USPAP) of the Appraisal Foundation.


Kathryn Minard
 President  & Fine Art Specialist

Kathryn Minard holds a Specialized Honours degree in Fine Art History from York University. An experienced expert witness, Kathryn is a Certified Appraiser of Personal Property and the Canadian CORE and Requalification Course Instructor with the International Society of Appraisers. She has also served as the President of the Canadian Chapter of the ISA since 2008.

Ms. Minard is a consultant to Christie’s Inc. on the valuation of Canadian art, an affiliate member of the International Association for Professional Art Advisors and has served as a Special Advisor to the Canadian Cultural Property Export Review Board.

From 1981, as the owner of Contemporary Fine Art Services, Kathryn has provided advisory services to corporate and private collectors for the acquisition or dispersal of art collections and representation in purchase and sales transactions.

Sheila Osborne

Sheila Osborne is a graduate of the University of Toronto and has over twenty years experience in the fine art industry. She joined Contemporary Fine Art Services in 1988 and was part of the formation of Curator Asset Management in 2006. She has been an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers since 1997 and her credentials are in compliance with the 2010-2011 Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) of the Appraisal Foundation.
